About Gluten Free Me!

Hey it’s O here, a teen that lives with Celiac Disease and will use this blog to share my experiences as well as any other helpful tips and tricks with you Celiac’s or non- Celiacs! I run Varsity cross country and track so, my posts will be centered not just around Celiac but also Celiac with Athletics!

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in April 2015 after years of back and forth to the Dr for slow growth.  My first endoscopy confirmed the disease and showed inflammation, scalloping and many ulcerations.

I was also told that I had Eosinophilic Esophagitis, which is often found in men, over 40 yrs of age. So pretty rare for a teen to have.

I am asymptomatic for both the Celiac and Eosinophilic Esophagitis, which is partly why it took years to be diagnosed.

I’m adjusting to having the gluten- free lifestyle!

Have fun exploring and I hope that together we can make the Celiac lifestyle a little bit easier! 🙂

xoxo
